PRESIDING JUDGE - HON. MICHAEL LANDRUM

Michael Landrum is a lawyer residing in Houston, Texas. He is the former judge of two Harris County Civil District courts for a combined six years. Before that, he served as a judge of the Harris County Tax Court for 14 years. He currently serves as a visiting judge, arbitrator and mediator.

Landrum has been a licensed attorney since 1976. He is certified as a specialist in the fields of Civil Trial Law and received his B.A. from The University of St. Thomas and a law degree from the University of Texas.

In addition to his arbitration and mediation practice, Michael is a member of the Board of Directors for the Houston Region Business Coalition. He also serves on the legal advisory board for Catholic Charities of Houston and on the advisory board for the Morris Center for Law and Liberty at Houston Christian University.

Judge Landrum has been a mentor to dozens of law students and young lawyers and taught about American courts at Houston Baptist University. He served as judicial liaison to the Houston Young Lawyers Association and lectured in continuing legal education programs, judged student mock trial and moot court competitions, and is active in Houston Bar Association activities.

Michael Landrum and his wife, Mary Grace, reside in the Spring Branch area of Houston.

2023 KEYNOTE SPEAKER & PRESIDING JUDGE - HON. MICHAEL LANDRUM

American Society of AppraisersFor six years, Michael Landrum presided as State District Court Judge in civil trial matters of all types.  He has served as an arbitrator in hundreds of cases administered by the American Arbitration Association and FINRA.

Michael Landrum is a native Houstonian and received his B.A. from The University of St. Thomas and law degree from the University of Texas. For 45 years he has been a licensed attorney, and holds specialist certifications in the fields of Civil Trial Law and Civil Appellate Law from the Texas Board of Legal Specialization.

Judge Landrum has been a mentor to dozens of law students and young lawyers and taught about American courts at Houston Baptist University. He served as judicial liaison to the Houston Young Lawyers Association and lectured in continuing legal education programs, judged student mock trial and moot court competitions, and is active in Houston Bar Association activities.
